Stained Glass Mystery Quiltalong with BeaQuilter | Week 3

Welcome back to Week 3 of the Beaquilter Mystery Quiltalong! What can you expect today? More cutting and sewing, of course!

Don’t let this step intimidate you – this is all easy stuff, I promise!

Cutting Directions

Fabric A:  Cut (2)2” WOF
Cut (2) 1 1/4” WOF

Fabric B:  Cut (4) 2” WOF

Fabric E:  Cut (2) 4 1/4” WOF

Fabric G:  Cut (2) 3 ½” WOF

 

Sewing Instructions

Step 1:
Sew 1 1/4” Fabric A strips, to side of 4 1/4” Fabric E strip, then sew 2” Fabric B strip to other side of Fabric E strip. Iron away from Fabric E. Make 2 strip sets. Trim Strips to 2” and make 32 sets like these.

Step 2:
In the same way sew strips together using 2” Fabric B strip to the side of 3 ½” Fabric G strip and then a 2” Fabric A to the other side of Fabric G. Make 2 sets. Iron toward the middle. Also trim these to 2” and make 32 sets like these.

    As usual I am behind starting things but have gathered some fabrics afraid they are not batiks together and about to take the bull by the horns and attempt these blocks, fingers crossed all will go well
