Folk Art Quilted Traditions Book Release

We’re so excited for the recent release of the new book, “Folk Art Quilted Traditions” by our very own Ambassador, Suzy Webster!

Folk Art Quilted Traditions

The book, a “beautiful homage to [Suzy’s] Hungarian heritage is a must-have for quilters. Includes an entire chapter on the process of choosing fabric for appliqué. Suzy has several original appliqué block patterns based on Hungarian Folk Art. Detailed step-by-step process of doing machine appliqué to make everyone successful. Projects vary in size to appeal to a wide range of readers.” – American Quilter’s Society

Fellow Ambassadors and friends kicked off the release of the book with a blog hop. Each blogger showcased a project from the book. Find a recap of the event here on Suzy’s blog. And don’t miss a sneak peek at a number of projects inside the book here on the AQS website!

You can pick up your own copy here on the American Quilter’s Society website! Happy stitching!

I participated in the hop, and the book is really good, and the designs are great! I enjoyed trying something new with layered applique, and loved the results. Island Batik for applique is a must!
